With over nine years of experience in the beauty industry, Yara Kingdon-Barbosa has worked with a diverse range of clients, helping them look and feel their best. Whether it's creating a natural, glowing bridal look or crafting a bold, dramatic makeup for editorial shoots, Yara’s mission is to enhance each client’s unique beauty.

Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, Yara grew up immersed in the rich culture of her Brazilian heritage. Her childhood was a mix of time spent in her father’s martial arts gym, painting her nails fluorescent pink, to dancing throughout her teenage years, creativity has always been at the centre of her life.

After completing her professional Makeup Artist certification at Artists at Play, Yara began her career working with Bobbi Brown and MAC Cosmetics, where she spent five years refining her craft before transitioning into full-time freelancing in 2020.

​

Since then, she has worked on campaigns for brands like Mermade Hair and Puma, collaborated on international music videos, lectured at makeup academies and has taken her artistry to Europe, Asia and South America.

 

 

Yara takes pride in creating an inclusive environment, celebrating beauty in all its forms—across every age, gender, and race. Helping clients feel like the best version of themselves and witnessing their confidence flourish is the most rewarding aspect of her work.
